The first annual scientific conference of Karnataka Endocrine Society –‘’ Hormone Rhythm 2018’’ was held on 21 -22 April 2018 at Clarks Exotica Convention Centre, Bangalore. Around 800 delegates from Karnataka and different parts of India participated in the meeting. We had invited two International and several eminent national speakers for the conference. The proceedings of Day-1, with a welcome speech, followed by a key note address on Evolution of Endocrinology in India. The first plenary session of the day was on thyroid, the second plenary session on thyroid disorders in pregnancy. This was followed by Presidential Oration from Dr Dwarakanath CS. Post-lunch there was a session on Meet the Experts with Difficult Cases in Endocrinology and followed by a ‘’ Hypertension Symposium’’. The highlight of the day was Evening Symposium and in the first talk Dr Henrik Jarlov discussed on the future of prandial insulin, and talk’s emapgliflozin and EmpaReg trials. Proceedings of Day-2 started with Breakfast Symposium In the second plenary session of the day on vitamin D deficiency and hyperparathyroidism respectively. This was followed by a plenary session on problems in adolescent Endocrinology Third Plenary Session figured Dr.JJ Mukherjee who spoke on initial combination therapy in type 2 diabetes and Dr.Helen Baron who spoke on a Pragmatic Approach using Basal Insulin .The final symposium of day-2 was on Diabetes in Pregnancy. This was followed by closing ceremony and vote of thanks.
