Welcome to the Karnataka Endocrine Society

BENDS (Bangalore Endocrine and Diabetic Society) which was functional all these years and founded by Dr.Prasanna Kumar KM and all other Senior Endocrinologists from Bengaluru had been actively involved in conducting academic meetings every month. BENDS was not a formal registered society and did not have office bearers and a structured format. We, most of the Endocrinogists met on 11th July 2017 to form Karnataka Endocrine Society under the aegis of Endocrine Society of India and have a structured Endocrinology Organization and regular academic activities in Karnataka.

The Aims of the Society are

  • To form a governing council and register the society under the Registrar of Society’s.
  • To request each and every endocrinologist of Karnataka to contribute to build the Karnataka Endocrine Society.
  • To conduct academic meetings at Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka, to create awareness regarding endocrine diseases
  • To encourage, promote, and advance, teaching, training and research in the field of Endocrinology – Basic. Clinical and Applied.
  • To hold CME’s and Conferences for an interaction of its members working in the various fields related with advancement of the subject of Endocrinology for furtherance of research and dissemination of knowledge.
  • To organize Annual Conference of the Society where scientific papers, lectures, symposia shall be presented.
  • To promote and maintain close co-operation and fellow feelings amongst members working in the various fields of endocrinology. To maintain highest ethics in the research and practice of the specialty amongst its members.
